Our online Appraisals
provide you with Fair Market Value of your
print or painting.
You will receive both a virtual copy via email and a snail-mailed,
signed and certified document.
Note that Fair Market Value is the price the piece would sell
for on the open, secondary market—the likely price it
would fetch at auction, for example—rather than the retail
price of a work hanging in a gallery.
Appraisals for any other value (replacement value, liquidation
value, forensic appraisals), require a personal examination
of the work. (see Real-time
Appraisal)

All our online appraisals conform
to the International Society of Appraisers' Report Writing Standards
and the ISA Code of Ethics, and the Uniform Standards of Professional
Appraisal Practice.
To order an online appraisal, please
e-mail us the following:
Your name, address and phone number.
A good digital photo of the work, front and back.
The medium or technique (oil, pastels, silkscreen).
Exact dimensions expressed in inches or centimetres.
Copy the text of any labels or stickers on the work.
Copy any inscriptions, front or back.
For prints: give us all the information written in the
bottom margin (signature, edition numbers, etc.). If possible, hold up the work on paper to the light and describe the watermark.
The more you can tell us about
the work the better:
Where was it purchased and for how much?
Do you have any documentation (provenance, Certificate
of Authenticity)?
Was it sold with some sort of warranty?
